ELW Global (ELW) has been awarded a manufacturing and training contract to supply Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Units (ROWPU’s) to the South African National Defence Force.

The ELW ROWPU filters and purifies 5000 litres of drinking water per hour, or using the RO product of up to 2000 lph or using the RO process filters 2000 litres per hour. The ROWPU’s have been purchased in support of the United Nations MONUSCO Programme.

Christopher Miller, Director of ELW Global announced. “This contract further validates ELW’s International reputation as a recognized expert in supplying water purification solutions to our customers.’

Recent RO and filtration technologies have been incorporated into the ELW ROWPU such as a clean on board cleaning system, long life stainless steal filters and efficient chemical consumption.

All design features lead to a unit that is easy to maintain and operates reliably in remote areas. To date ELW Global have successfully delivered water purification units into Cameroon, Senegal, Malawi, Somalia, Darfur (Sudan), Haiti, Botswana and Burkina Faso.
